ELON MUSK IS WORLD'S RICHEST BILLIONAIRE 2023

Billionaire Elon Musk has recaptured the title of world’s richest person 2023 from French luxury tycoon Bernard Arnault. The Tesla chief got a net more of $95.4 billion which was bolstered by the success of Tesla and SpaceX. In 2022 Elon had lost $138 billion where he has bounced in 2023 to become the Worlds richest person.

BILLIONAIRES OF 2023 NAMED: L'ORÉAL AND LOUIS VUTTON LEAD

L’Oréal heir Francoise Bettencourt Meyers has become the first woman to amass a $100 billion fortune, a milestone for her and for France’s expanding fashion and cosmetics industries.

Meyers wealth jumped to $100.2 billion at the end of 2023, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The milestone came as shares of L’Oréal, the beauty products empire founded by her grandfather, rose to a record high according to records.

Despite the gain, Bettencourt Meyers’ fortune is still significantly less than that of fellow French compatriot Bernard Arnault, who is the founder of luxury goods Moet, Hennessy Louis Vuitton, second in the global ranking with $179.4 billion as of the year close.

NO CHRISTMAS IN BETHLEHEM THIS YEAR

The city of Bethlehem in the Israeli-occupied West Bank this year is all deserted as heavy fighting rages between Israel and Hamas in the devastated Gaza Strip, and a sense of misery hangs over the city revered by Christians as the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
