For the very first time in Church history there is no Christmas celebrations in the city where Jesus was born due to the war with Gaza.
The city of Bethlehem in the Israeli-occupied West Bank this year is all deserted as heavy fighting rages between Israel and Hamas in the devastated Gaza Strip, and a sense of misery hangs over the city revered by Christians as the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
